Why not donate to the Competition Rifle Team at Michigan Technological University's endowment account provided by the MidwayUSA Foundation?


Our endowment currently provides us with over $600 every season from the interest generated on the endowment balance. The amount we receive grows as our endowment does.

A one time gift as small as $10 can help us grow our endowment and guarantee that the team will have a source of funding to draw from for seasons to come. Funds from the endowment can be used to purchase equipment, pay for travel costs, and match entry fees. Really any cost we might encounter as a team except purchasing rifles.

The best part about donating to the Team's endowment provided by the MidwayUSA Foundation is that all of the money donated to the team, stays with the team and cannot be used by anyone except the team.

While we do receive funds from the Student Activity Fee, and they do cover a portion of our yearly expenses this funding is not guaranteed and the amount fluctuates from year to year. Unfortunately this means we need to pick and choose what equipment we can buy and events we can participate in due to this fluctuation.

If you don't know, the average cost for a basic set of equipment exceeds $1000 (excluding rifles), and the cost to take a student to a competition is around $175. Due to our unique location, traveling to a competition usually involves at least 1000 miles of travel and 2 nights in a hotel room.

So please consider a donation to help grow our endowment. By growing our endowment we can ensure that the team will have a guaranteed funding source for equipment and offsetting travel costs for both now and into the future.
