Rifle Team Weekly Happenings 2021-03-21

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone had the best spring break possible and you're all feeling refreshed and recharged.

Items this week:

• We will continue working on Air Rifle.
  • For anyone that feels they have a handle on the basics we will start working through some of the more technical aspects of the standing position.
    
    
• IMPORTANT: Due to a lack of quorum at our last meeting, no business could be conducted.  This meeting has been moved to tomorrow at the range, starting at 1830.
  • This will be a hybrid level event.  If you are at the range for practice, cool.  If you can't make it in person, here's a link to the zoom meeting:  [REMOVED POST MEETING]

• If you are interested in joining and are unsure, come down to the range and try us out!  It's never too late to start!

Upcoming Items:

• Next week we'll continue shooting Air Rifle
  • If we have air, we will continue introducing more technical aspects of the position and begin tweeking and fine tuning the basic skills.
  • I can't stress enough the importance of Air Rifle.   In the typical NCAA / NRA Collegiate competition, AirRifle is 50% of the total score; And overall the Standing Position is 2/3rds of the total score.
    
    
• Starting next week we will start shooting Smallbore Rifle - Prone for anyone that's interested.
  
  
• On April 20th, or 27th (Depending on how many people can assist on the 27th) we will be cleaning rifles and putting all our equipment away for the summer.
