Rifle Team Weekly Happenings 2022-12-04

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone had a great week.

Range Time This Week:

• Monday 6pm - 10pm
• Tuesday 6pm - 10pm

What we will be working on this week:

• We will be:
  • Shooting WIRC targets
  • Practicing
  • Cleaning RIfles
    • SDC Range Management still hasn't gotten back to us on being able to get into the range next week for cleaning
• Since the SDC Range Management hasn't gotten back to us on the range next week our event for this week is CANCELLED.  We need to clean rifles.

Upcoming Items:

• Next semester we will start 4 shooting 4-position competition
• We have some travel opportunities coming up.
  
  Most of these are events we could host and have others come up to shoot (And there's a lot of interest from UofM and GVSU to come up here).  Because our range has been converted into something better suited for throwing lead downrange and not competitive shooting, and the fact that the SDC range management isn't open to hearing ways to accommodate us hosting competitions....   we're stuck traveling.
  • Jan 14+15 - Air RIfle & SB 3P Metric Open Sectionals.  Jackson, MI
  • Jan 28+29, Feb 4+5, or Feb 11+12 - Intercollegiate Sectionals.   Jackson, MI or Grand Rapids, MI
  • Feb 18+19 - Air RIfle & SB 3P Metric Junior Sectionals.  Grand Rapids, MI
  • Feb 25+26.   - WIRC Finals.   Jackson, MI or Fargo, ND
  • Mar 11+12 or Mar 18+19 - Air Rifle & SB 3P Metric State Championships.  Jackson, MI or Grand Rapids, MI
  • Late March / Early April - Intercollegiate Rifle Championships.  Fort Wayne, IN.
