Rifle Team Weekly Happenings 2023-03-12

Hi Everyone!

I hope that all of you had a great spring break.  For those of you that were out of the loop this past weekend, we had people shooting in the Michigan 3P and Air RIfle Indoor Championships.  We don't have the results yet, but congratulations to everyone that participated!

Also this weekend was the NCAA Rifle Championships.   Congratulations to the University of Alaska Fairbanks on being this year's NCAA Rifle Champions.  #GoNooks

Spring Break typically signals the slowdown in our activities as the majority of the collegiate season has ended and everyone is getting ready for finals and summer vacation.   We still have some travel opportunities coming up in early April, as well as some outdoor competitions we can participate in over the summer.  

Range Time This Week:

• Monday 6pm - 10pm
• Tuesday 6pm - 10pm
  • Coaching will be unavailable this Tuesday so I can shoot my MSRL 5+6 targets.

Items this week:

• We will just have practice this week.
  • We will start working on back-filling items from September a bit more.
• MSRL Target 5+6 are due on March 14th
• If you are interested in joining, come down to the range and try us out!  It's never too late to start!

Upcoming Items:

• We have the opportunity to travel to the Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championships in Fort Wayne, IN, on March 31st -> April 2nd
  
  • More details will be sent out shortly
• Mark your calendars - On the weekend on May 13+14th, the Michigan Rifle + Pistol Association will be hosting a 50yd, 50m, 100yd outdoor prone sectionals at the Capitol City Rifle Club in Williamston, MI.
  • The MRPA has not released details yet, but they will be released shortly.
• MSRL Targets 7+8 are due on April 4th
• MSRL Targets 9+10 are due on April 18th
