Upcoming Competition: Boilermaker Invitational

I hope that all of you are having a fantastic week! I wanted to let everyone know about our first competition of the season!

On the weekend of October 17th we have the opportunity to travel to Purdue to compete in the Boilermaker Invitational. This is a fairly laid back competition and is a very good one for anyone that hasn't been to a competition before. This will most likely be a university excused absence. What that means is:
Student Organization members may request letters to verify their participation in co-curricular activities in the event that they need to miss class to do so. This letter is meant to confirm a student’s participation in an extracurricular activity, however it is not an excuse and it is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor(s) and gain permission to make up any assignments, course work, and quizzes missed during this time.
The course of fire is 60 shots air rifle, and 60 shots 3-posiiton smallbore (Which you will begin learning starting next week - More on that later). I don't know if the format will be the old NRA style, or the NCAA/USAS format. Either way it's the same positions, just in a different order.
The cost to attend will be somewhere in the $40-50 range and will be all inclusive except for food, entertainment and ammunition. We have a subsidy and enough equipment for up to 10 competitors. We can take more than that, but the cost per person, might increase a bit.
The itinerary will probably be something like the below, but because we have a different number of smallbore and air rifles, the final itinerary ultimately depends on how many people will be going. I will have something a lot nicer to look at on October 4th once I have a head count.
If for some reason we do need to split into two groups it would be super convenient for me if everyone just traveled as a group, but I understand that it's not necessary for the people shooting in the afternoon to be at the range at 7am and it would probably be a lot less hectic in the hotel. So we will probably have just the people shooting in the morning doing the loading / unloading and getting everything setup. Then I'll go and pickup everyone shooting in the afternoon at 1130. If anyone from the morning wants, I'll take them back to the hotel to chill once the afternoon folks start shooting. The people shooting in the afternoon will then un-setup all the equipment and load / unload everything.
