Upcoming Competition: Great Lakes Invitational

I hope that all of you are having a fantastic week! I wanted to let everyone know about our first competition of the season!
On the weekend of December 3rd we have the opportunity to travel to Jackson, MI to compete in the Great Lakes Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan. This will most likely be a university verified absence. What that means is:
Student Organization members may request letters to verify their participation in co-curricular activities in the event that they need to miss class to do so. This letter is meant to confirm a student’s participation in an extracurricular activity, however it is not an excuse and it is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor(s) and gain permission to make up any assignments, course work, and quizzes missed during this time.
The course of fire is 60 shots air rifle, and 60 shots 3-posiiton smallbore. The order of positions will be the NRA Collegiate / old NCAA format.
Everyone that shot the WIRC this month, should be minimally prepared to travel to this (If you choose). But practice is always good. :D
The cost to attend will be somewhere in the $40-$60 range and will be all inclusive except for food, entertainment and ammunition. We have a subsidy and enough equipment for up to 10 competitors. We can take more than that, but the cost per person, might increase a bit.
The itinerary will probably be something like the below, but because we have a different number of smallbore and air rifles, the final itinerary ultimately depends on how many people will be going. I will have something more official on November 20th once I have a head count and can submit the entry paperwork and find out what time we are shooting at. We also the option of departing Houghton in the afternoon or leaving immediately after the competition and spending the night in Mackinaw. Whichever works out better for people schedule wise, and whether we are shooting on Saturday or Sunday. The below proposed itinerary is assuming that we will be shooting on Saturday morning / afternoon.
