Welcome Back & Start of 2017-2018 Season

Hi Everybody!

I hope that all of you had an enjoyable summer and a great first week of class.

Sorry for the lack of communication about our 2017-2018 season so far, but I'm going to be honest. We've had quite a few hiccups getting this season running.

An extremely oversimplified rundown of what's happened is the range has been shutdown and we are left without a space to practice in. We're currently working on getting a practice space and hope to have the details worked out soon.

But - What I can tell you is that we are *NOT* going away this season. We are currently having meetings with the Administration trying to work things out. Our goal is to try to do things as normally as possible within the constraints placed upon us. Once again, I don't want to dive into details as they haven't been completely figured out yet but at minimum this year we will have a space on or off campus where we can practice using SCATT (The electronic trainer) and maybe a classroom one night a week to go over theory / subject education type stuff. We will most likely be traveling at least one weekend a month to another location to shoot our WIRC targets. I'm going to see if one of the Wisconsin schools would be able to host us so it can be a day, or 1 night trip.

I know this is a late start but we will be kicking off our season with an info session. It will be Wednesday, September 20th from 6-7pm in Fisher 139. Light refreshemnts will be served.

The purpose of this info session is to introduce the team and our members to anyone interested in joining the team this year, answer any questions, and most importantly we will be kicking off the season!
