Upcoming Competition - CMP October Air Rifle & MSU 3 Position

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone is still having a great week! I just wanted to pass along information about our ummm.... Rescheduled first competition(s) of the season!

Because Purdue will not be hosting the Boilermaker this year we've got a new location for our first trip of the season.

On the weekend of October 14th we have the opportunity to travel to Camp Perry, OH to compete in open Air Rifle on *ELECTRONIC* targets and MSU to compete in a 3 position smallbore competition. This is a fairly laid back competition and it's a good one for anyone that hasn't been to a competition before. This will most likely be a university verified absence. What that means is:

Student Organization members may request letters to verify their participation in co-curricular activities in the event that they need to miss class to do so. This letter is meant to confirm a student’s participation in an extracurricular activity, however it is not an excuse and it is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor(s) and gain permission to make up any assignments, course work, and quizzes missed during this time.

The course of fire at the CMP is 60 shots air rifle. The course of fire at MSU will be 60 shots 3-posiiton smallbore. The order of positions will be the NRA Collegiate / old NCAA format.

If you show up to the range at least once per week (more is always preferred) between today and October 10th, you *will* have the skills required to attend this competition.

The cost to attend will be somewhere in the $40-60 range and will be all inclusive except for food, entertainment and ammunition. We have a subsidy and enough equipment for up to 10 competitors. We can take more than that, but the cost per person, might increase a bit.
